A partner since 1990, Wendell Hall practices in the San Antonio office of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. He focuses on appellate litigation. He is certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hall served as a briefing attorney for Presiding Judge John F. Onion, Jr., of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals and received a judicial internship with the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Hall is the author of Standards of Review in Texas, published in Volume 34 of the St. Mary's Law Journal (2002). This article, and Mr. Hall's preceding articles on standards of review are the most cited law review articles in Texas. He is a past Chair of the Appellate Section of the State Bar of Texas, where he also served as editor of the Federal Civil Appellate Digest for The Appellate Advocate.
Appointed by the Texas Supreme Court, Mr. Hall is serving his second term on the Supreme Court Advisory Committee on the Rules. He has served as well on the Civil Appellate Law Advisory Commission for the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Mr. Hall is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, the Texas Bar Foundation and the San Antonio Bar Foundation.
