Fulbright & Jaworski’s Toxic Tort Group has represented clients in a wide range of industrial sectors in toxic tort, mass tort and environmental litigation. We defend companies both individually, in class actions and as part of shared counsel joint defense groups.
Having acted as national counsel in a number of multi-district litigation cases, Fulbright is equipped to handle large toxic tort cases that have the potential to become either class action cases or multi-district litigation cases. Furthermore, since many of these cases are filed in plaintiff-friendly venues, Fulbright has the experience to act as defense counsel, having significant experience with toxic tort laws and these difficult venues.
Our broad experience includes virtually every type and size of lawsuit arising from the manufacture, handling, sale and disposal of chemicals and other alleged hazardous substances. Our lawyers regularly represent clients in litigation and arbitration involving tort and contract claims related to contaminated land. We have experience in the health sciences (biology, toxicology and epidemiology), industrial engineering and industrial hygiene.
Our Toxic Tort Group is adept at working with experts in the complex forensic investigations into causation and responsibility for environmental contamination, as well as in cross-examining the experts of opposing parties. Our case experience spans numerous types of facilities such as pesticide manufacturing sites, refineries, chemical plants, landfills, gasoline service stations and metal fabrication facilities.
