Scott joined the Houston office of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. in 2010. As an associate, his practice focuses on corporate, finance and securities matters for a variety of clients from venture-backed startups to publicly traded companies.
Scott has represented or assisted in the representation of the following matters:
- A public company in the acquisition of a minority interest of the stock of a privately owned crude oil refinery located in El Dorado, Arkansas
- A public drilling services company in the sale of assets in connection with a Chapter 11 proceeding
- A public building products company in the acquisition of a privately held manufacturer
- An oil and natural gas company with the issuance of capital market debt
- A private equity portfolio company on day to day legal issues
- A public refining company with modifications to its existing credit facility
- A public clothing company with refinance of credit facility
- A drilling equipment manufacturer in selling a business unit
- A gas detection early-stage company in a series of convertible bridge notes and round of equity offerings
- Numerous early-stage companies conducting private placements
