Roy Lo is counsel in Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P.'s Minneapolis office. His practice focuses on intellectual property and technology matters.
Prior to joining Fulbright, Roy was an associate in the San Francisco office of a Washington D.C.-based law firm.
- Represented international clients in patent and antitrust disputes related to a wide range of complex technologies, including power electronics, dynamic random access memory, power tools and internet software
- Litigated matters before several federal district courts and the International Trade Commission (ITC)
- Analyzed patents and participated in strategic discussions regarding potential claims and defenses
- Worked closely with technical experts to analyze claims and formulate validity and infringement theories
- Drafted complex motions including motions for summary judgment, final infringement contentions, pretrial motions, trial briefs and post-trial motions
- Drafted and prosecuted patent applications in the mechanical, electrical and software areas

During law school, Roy was a member of the Order of the Coif and student director and advisor for the Moot Court program. He earned high honors in intellectual property, constitutional law, evidence and appellate advocacy. Roy also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Carlos T. Bea of the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, and the Honorable Vaughn R. Walker of the United States District Court, Northern District of California.
Roy is admitted to practice law in Minnesota and California.
Roy enjoys reading, specifically philosophy, technology and military history, hiking, carpentry and basketball.
