Paul joined the Dallas office of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. as an associate in 2007. He focuses his practice on corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, securities law, corporate governance and private equity representation.

- A New York Stock Exchange listed consumer services company in connection with its sale to an international strategic buyer for a combination of stock and cash valued at approximately $2 billion;
- A New York Stock Exchange listed financial services company in connection with a $600 million recapitalization;
- One of the largest public pension plans in the United States in connection with its investment in several private equity transactions ranging from approximately $50 million to $500 million;
- The Board of Directors of a Fortune 150 company in responding to an unsolicited tender offer, including the adoption of a shareholder rights plan;
- A major stockholder in connection with a proxy contest with a New York Stock Exchange listed hospitality company;
- A portfolio company of a private equity company in connection with its acquisition of multiple roofing and building materials distributors across the United States;
- A NASDAQ listed energy and engineering company in connection with its acquisition of a closely-held engineering company for cash consideration of approximately $63 million;
- A NASDAQ listed retail company in connection with a variety of corporate governance, securities and corporate matters;
- A New York Stock Exchange listed health care company in connection with a variety of corporate governance, securities and corporate matters; and
- Numerous public and private companies regarding takeover tactics, defensive measures, shareholder rights plans and securities laws.

In law school, Paul was named an Honors Scholar and received the Samuel M. Breckinridge Book Award. He also was a member of the Global Studies Law Review and received a C.A.L.I. Excellence for the Future Award for earning the highest grade in his law school class in Arbitration, Civil Rights Litigation, Financial Accounting, Legal Writing and Partnership Taxation.
At Duke, Paul was on the Dean's list, studied abroad in Australia and won a scholarship through the FOCUS program essay contest.
Paul was admitted to practice law in Texas in 2007.
