AREAS OF CONCENTRATION
EXPERIENCE

Mike Regitz joined the Dallas office of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. in 2006. His practice focuses on intellectual property law with a special emphasis on patent infringement litigation, which includes cases involving computer software, computer hardware, medical devices and telecommunications. He also has litigation experience in cases involving copyright infringement, trademark and trade dress infringement, trade secret misappropriation and unfair competition claims. 

Mike has been registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office since 2004, and his practice includes both patent preparation and patent prosecution, including appeals to the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. He has prepared and prosecuted patent applications involving computer software, industrial automation and control, medical devices, optical fiber applications and renewable/clean energy systems. He is also regularly involved in the preparation of infringement opinions, validity opinions, licensing agreements and intellectual property due diligence assessments. 

As a participant in the Firm's attorney loan program with the City of Plano, Mike served as lead prosecutor in numerous jury trials.

Prior to law school, Mike worked for several years in the electrical automation and telecommunications industries.

While in law school, Mike was a member of the SMU Law Review, where he served as Staff Editor and Corporate Counsel Symposium Editor, and he is a member of the Order of the Coif.

Mike was licensed to practice law in Texas in 2005, and he is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Federal Circuit.
