Leyu (Lori) Ji is a member of the firm's China Practice Group. He focuses primarily on foreign direct investment, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and other general corporate and commercial matters in and involving China.
Mr. Ji joined Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. in 2005, originally working in the firm's Hong Kong office. He started working in Fulbright's Beijing location in 2007.
Mr. Ji participates in the firm's representation of multinational and other clients in a variety of industries, such as transportation and logistics, manufacturing, trading, consulting, infrastructure and telecommunications.
Recent significant projects include:
- Representation of a U.S.-based seismic solutions company in its acquisition of a Chinese company's technologies and business in manufacturing and selling oil and gas exploration equipment
- Representation of a leading international transportation and logistics company in connection with its acquisition of a Chinese transportation company
- Representation of a global provider of oilfield products and services in connection with multiple joint venture manufacturing facilities in China
- Representation of a leading marketer of marketer of agricultural chemical and petroleum products in connection with a strategic joint venture in China
- Representation of a U.S.-based multinational company in connection with the restructuring of various engineering construction and materials manufacturing joint venture entities in China
- Representation of a leading U.S. oilfield equipment and services provider in connection with its joint venture and various other corporate and transactional matters in China
- Representation of a private investor group in connection with its acquisition of a cattle feedlot business in China
- Representation of a U.S.-based private equity and hedge fund manager in structuring and advising on the China portfolio investments of the funds it manages
