EXPERIENCE

Kathy Lett joined the Dallas office of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. in 1998. As senior counsel, she focuses her practice on various litigation matters, predominately including pharmaceutical and medical device litigation. Her pharmaceutical and medical device litigation practice focuses on the representation of leading pharmaceutical and medical device companies in multi-district products liability litigation. Her real estate litigation practice focuses on protection of lenders' interests in commercial properties, commercial landlord/tenant disputes and the representation of property owners in disputes involving ad valorem taxation at both the administrative and judicial levels. 

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

Recent, significant experience includes:

Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices:

  • Assisting with implementation of national settlement program for leading pharmaceutical company in connection with its contrast agent
  • Assisting in representing medical device manufacturer in multiple commercial disputes
  • Assisting in representing leading pharmaceutical company in numerous design defect and failure to warn cases in connection with its pharmaceutical medication
  • Assisting with counseling and managing multi-district products liability litigation for a leading pharmaceutical company in connection with its over-the-counter medication
  • Assisting in representing a leading medical device company in multi-district products liability litigation concerning its Natural Rubber Latex Gloves
  • Assisting in representing a leading medical device company in a multi-million dollar lawsuit involving client's hypodermic needles; obtained a favorable settlement for client

Real Estate:

  • Obtained temporary restraining orders, temporary injunctions and receivers for clients in commercial mortgage-backed securities litigation
  • Represented restaurant company in multi-state landlord-tenant disputes

While attending law school, Kathy was a notes editor of The Review of Litigation. She was also a member of the Legal Research Board, the Board of Advocates and the Order of the Coif. She was admitted to practice law in Texas in 1998. Kathy is also admitted to practice in the Northern, Eastern, Western and Southern Districts of Texas.

INTERESTS

Kathy enjoys spending time at her family's farm in Navarro County and boating with her husband and daughters on Lake Texoma.
