Judith A. Schening became a partner in the Dallas office of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. in 1997. She focuses her practice on product liability, pharmaceutical and insurance defense. She also has experience in insurance bad faith, ERISA, insurance coverage disputes, commercial litigation and intellectual property litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Schening was a briefing attorney for the Dallas Division of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas from 1987 to 1989. Ms. Schening is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Dallas Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute. Ms. Schening's "Comment, Federal Products Liability Legislation: Not the Cure for Workers' Compensation Ailments," was published in the 6 Northern Il. Univ. L. Rev. 319 in 1986. Ms. Schening received a B.A. cum laude in 1984 from the University of Houston and a J.D. magna cum laude in 1987 from Northern Illinois University. She was admitted to practice law in Texas in 1987 and in Illinois in 1988. Ms. Schening received the Young Alumna of the Year Award in 1999 from Northern Illinois University College of Law.
