Dr. Fox-Penner described the current conditions challenging our electric supply system and how utilities will need to change to meet those challenges. Two evolutionary models for future utilities are described – the Smart Integrator and the Energy Services Utility. Additional insights on these matters are also provided by Girard Miller and Erik Swenson.
