Fulbright Makes American Lawyer’s 2008 Corporate Scorecard
May 7, 2008

Fulbright’s public finance practice has made the American Lawyer's Corporate Scorecard 2008, an elite listing of firms with the most robust corporate practices for the fiscal year 2007. Fulbright is among the top 10 municipal bond firms for 2007 in the two categories the Scorecard ranks for the year: bond counsel and underwriter’s counsel.

Fulbright is among the top 10 in all three public finance categories, including bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel and disclosure counsel for the year 2007, as ranked by Thomson Financial.

Frederic A. Weber, head of the Fulbright public finance group, attributed the healthy municipal bond market to historically low interest rates in 2007. He also noted Fulbright's presence in active public finance areas, such as New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and Texas, where the state’s population growth and relatively healthy economy in 2007 made for a strong municipal bond market.
