Fulbright Partners to Chair Texas Bar’s Pattern Jury Charges Committee
July 26, 2005
Texas State Bar President Eduardo Roberto Rodriguez has appointed Fulbright partners Steve Dillard and Ben Taylor to chair two of the Standing Committees on Pattern Jury Charges. Dillard will chair the Malpractice/Premises/Products Committee, and Taylor will chair the General Negligence/Intentional Personal Torts Committee. Their terms will run through the State Bar’s 2008 Annual Meeting.

Steve Dillard
Partner
Houston, Texas

Ben Taylor
Partner
Dallas, Texas

Dillard is chair of the firm's worldwide litigation department and has been a partner in the Houston office since 1978. He has tried to verdict numerous cases in both state and federal courts. In recent years, he has devoted a considerable portion of his practice to the defense of environmental litigation, including chemical exposure, toxic tort, and mass tort cases and in the defense of claims arising from landfills, pipelines, Superfund and hazardous waste sites, and underground storage tanks.

Taylor focuses his practice on appellate law. Adept in the appeal of commercial and non-commercial torts, products liability, insurance matters, and indemnity issues, his practice also includes a concentration on procedural issues such as summary judgments and assisting with, and making, the record on the court's charge to a jury. As an appellate advocate, he also assists the firm's busy trial counsel with the preservation of issues that may be important for an appeal.
