Fulbright lawyers Vincent S. Walkowiak, Stephen M. McNabb and O. Rey Rodriguez edited the just-released fifth edition of the treatise The Attorney-Client Privilege in Civil Litigation: Protecting and Defending Confidentiality.

The book addresses the modern problems lawyers face with attorney-client privilege and offers solutions throughout each chapter. Attorney-client privilege continues to be a complex issue and the need for privileged communication in the corporate setting is greater than ever before.

Walkowiak is an experienced trial attorney, speaker, writer and former law school "Professor of the Year." Before retiring from the firm, he served as co-head of Fulbright's product liability litigation practice. Walkowiak previously served as the primary editor and a contributor for the second, third and fourth editions.

McNabb heads the firm's international trade practice and is a member of Fulbright's appellate and white collar practices. He has extensive civil litigation experience before trial and appellate courts.

Rodriguez is a partner in Fulbright's appellate and litigation practices.  He handles a broad range of appellate and trial litigation in state and federal courts.  Rodriguez is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Civil Appellate Law.

The fifth edition of the ABA treatise focuses on guidance for corporate counsel, modern perspectives on the attorney-client privilege and the work-product doctrine, confidentiality and its relationship to the attorney-client privilege, among many other topics.
