EXPERIENCE

Jee-Young joined the Los Angeles office in 2010. She is an associate in the Health Care Practice and represents hospitals, medical staffs, managed care organizations, medical groups and other health care entities and providers. Jee-Young's practice focuses on federal and state licensing and regulatory compliance matters, peer review and credentialing, contracting issues, medical staff governance, telemedicine and patient privacy issues.

During law school, Jee-Young was an Executive Notes Editor for the Health Matrix: Journal of Law-Medicine and a legal intern in the Health Law Clinic. She also served as a Teaching Assistant and Honors Fellow for courses in Legal Analysis/Writing and Transactional Writing/Lawyering Skills. She received the Anderson Publishing Company Book Award for the top graduating student in Law Clinic and CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Health Care Transactions, Health Law Clinic and Transactional Writing/Lawyering Skills. 

As an undergraduate, Jee-Young was a Berkeley Chancellor's Scholar and a cellist in a quartet with Cal Community Music. Upon graduating college, and prior to attending law school, she completed a two-year commitment with Teach for America, a movement that aims to close the nation's achievement gap, working as a middle school science teacher in East Los Angeles. 

Jee-Young was admitted to practice law in California in 2009.

INTERESTS

Jee-Young enjoys community service activities, live music, reading, running and water sports.
