EXPERIENCE
Douglas Danzig is Chairman of Fulbright's Real Estate Practice Group. He joined Fulbright's Real Property Department as a partner in 1996 and practices in the New York office. Mr. Danzig began his career at a major Wall Street firm where he represented international clients in complex, multidistrict commercial litigation. He has been able to blend his litigation expertise with his real estate practice to bring a unique perspective to complex real estate transactional and litigated matters. During his 30 years of practice, Mr. Danzig has advised domestic and international clients in their leasing, acquisition, disposition and financing of shopping centers, office towers, multi-family housing projects as well as hotel and hospitality projects. He has also litigated and/or arbitrated loan defaults, foreclosures, construction disputes, brokerage claims and lease disputes in federal and state courts throughout the country and before various alternative dispute resolution organizations such as the American Arbitration Association and JAMS. In 2006 and 2007 Law and Politics Magazine designated Mr. Danzig as a New York "Super Lawyer" in the area of real estate. From 1974-77, Mr. Danzig was associated with the law firm of Mudge Rose Guthrie & Alexander in New York and from 1977 through 1996 he was a member of Marks & Murase LLP.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Mr. Danzig received a B.A. in 1971 and a J.D. in 1974 from Fordham University. He was licensed to practice law in New York and in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit in 1975. He was licensed to practice in California in 1980 and in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Central Districts of California and in the U.S. Supreme Court in 1981.
