- Immigration and Nationality Law
Ben Schatz is an associate in Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P.'s Austin office with the Firm's Labor and Employment group. He concentrates his practice on immigration and nationality law. Ben has experience with a wide variety of employment-based immigration matters, including work-authorized classifications for aliens of extraordinary ability, intra-company transferees, professional workers, interns, trainees and Canadian and Mexican nationals utilizing the immigration provisions of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
Ben has represented clients in all aspects of their employment-based permanent residency processes for multi-national managers/executives and professional workers, which has included obtaining labor certifications from the U.S. Department of Labor. Ben has also worked with a variety of companies to ensure compliance with the employment eligibility verification requirements and related discrimination provisions of the Immigration Reform and Control Act.

While in law school, Ben was an Articles Editor for the SMU International Law Review. He also participated in a study-abroad program at the Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2004.
Ben enjoys swimming, scuba diving, tennis and surfing.
Ben served as a Volunteer in the Immigration and Legal Services Section of Catholic Charities of Dallas, and he has provided pro bono legal services to Special Immigrant Juveniles through the Bernardo Kohler Center in Austin. He currently provides pro bono representation to asylum seekers through American Gateways.
