Brett Govett, a partner, joined the Dallas office of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. in 1991. Brett practices in the firm's Litigation Department. He has broad litigation experience and has tried commercial, intellectual property and tort cases.
Brett is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Reynaldo G. Garza of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

While in law school, Brett was a member of the Texas Tech Law Review and the Order of the Coif. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1990 and is admitted to practice in all federal district courts located in Texas, the United States Courts of Appeal for the Federal and Fifth Circuits and the United States Supreme Court.
When not in the courtroom, Brett works out to stay fit so he can keep up with his children's sports activities.
