Our municipal securities practice represents clients in financings by state and local government, including financings of privately owned projects that qualify for tax-exempt financing. The firm acts as bond counsel, disclosure counsel and general counsel to issuers and also represents underwriters, financial advisors, institutional purchasers, banks, insurers, borrowers, developers, corporate trustees, investment contract providers and interest swap providers, among others. In the past five years, Fulbright has had one of the nation's ten most active bond counsel practices. Tax
The New York location's tax lawyers work closely with other practice groups and are involved in planning and structuring corporate, individual and partnership transactions. They also have substantial experience in representing clients in controversies before the Internal Revenue Service, state tax authorities, the U.S. Tax Court and other federal courts.
The New York location's employee benefits/executive compensation group provides comprehensive tax- and ERISA-oriented benefits and compensation services, with particular emphasis on creative planning for executives and other high income earners.
